Wool and Folk is a mashup of fiber, people, food and music into an incredible experience the Friday before New York Sheep and Wool weekend.

We wanted to create and event that we had never been to before

When Wool and Folk started in October 2021, it was called “the perfect re-entry event post Covid”. Our mission was to create a community by creating an event that we hadn’t experienced before, one that had all the best parts of a dance party with fiber thrown around for good measure! It was also important that it foster a connection amongst all people in the fiber chain; promote handmade goods, support local musicians, local wool, local makers, local food; and celebrate the diverse makeup of our fiber community. The first ever Wool and Folk festival in 2021 drew 100s of fiber enthusiasts, shoppers, great vendors from all over the country, food trucks, and musicians to the magical Hudson Valley Region during the New York Sheep and Wool Festival. Last year, 2022, we had 1,000s! Can’t wait to see what 2023 has in store.

Our Waterfront, Mountain Space, and Great Lawn along Catskill Creek are each within the Flagship Building. The Waterfront is a 4,000SF ultra modern venue with a double-height space and doors spilling out to nature.
